Who We’re Looking For
CapRadio is seeking a relationship-oriented and detail-focused Senior Member Engagement Specialist to support our membership operations and provide exceptional service to the community members who sustain public media.
This role combines advanced member support, complex gift processing, and donor stewardship responsibilities. The ideal candidate brings experience in nonprofit membership, donor services, fundraising operations, or public-facing relationship management and understands the importance of accuracy, professionalism, and thoughtful member engagement.
This role is designed for someone who can independently manage more complex donor interactions and membership processing responsibilities while supporting the overall health and integrity of our donor database and member experience.

What You'll Do
- Serve as a point of contact for member and donor inquiries requiring advanced problem-solving, professionalism, and sound judgment
- Process complex contributions, including donor-advised funds, matching gifts, stock gifts, soft credits, and other non-routine transactions
- Ensure accurate gift entry, acknowledgements, recordkeeping, and data integrity within membership systems and databases
- Support member stewardship, retention, and recapture efforts through thoughtful outreach and relationship-building communications
- Assist in cultivating positive relationships with donors and members through phone, email, mail, and in-person interactions
- Help identify opportunities to strengthen member engagement and improve the donor experience
- Support and guide routine member services workflows and operations as needed
- Three or more years of experience in nonprofit membership, donor services, fundraising operations, customer relationship management, or related work
- Experience processing detailed financial transactions with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality
- Strong people skills and the ability to communicate professionally and warmly with donors, members, and the public
- Ability to navigate sensitive or complex member service situations with diplomacy and sound judgment
- Comfort discussing charitable giving and supporting donor stewardship efforts
- Experience using CRM/database systems such as Raiser’s Edge or Salesforce
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Experience with email marketing platforms such as Luminate or Mailchimp is a plus
- Interest in public media or mission-driven nonprofit work preferred

Location
This position is primarily on-site in Sacramento, California, with one remote day per week available after successful completion of the onboarding period
Salary
The hourly compensation for this role is $26.42-$27.88 per hour. CapRadio offers a competitive total compensation package, including base pay aligned with our organizational budget and a comprehensive suite of medical and fringe benefits.
