JOB SUMMARY:

As a member of the Flexcold team, a Warehouse Operator, is responsible for the safe use of all warehouse equipment to ensure safe movement of products, place product in storage locations and remove product from storage locations for shipment. Must follow all regulatory and company safety standards, policies and procedures when performing these tasks.

Schedule Information:

Flexcold operates a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week facility to meet our customers' needs. Warehouse Operators may be hired to fill openings on any shift based on business needs.

Current shift options include:

  • Tuesday – Friday: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Monday – Friday: 6:00 PM – 2:30 AM
  • Saturday – Monday: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Applicants must be available to work the assigned shift and schedule, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required by operational needs.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complete daily MHE maintenance/pre-operational check list.
  • Promptly report all safety malfunctions on equipment.
  • Ensure all pallets are efficiently stacked and wrapped for safety before movement.
  • Perform put-away function of palletized units using WMS Directed Put-away for selecting designated slots.
  • Perform pick function of palletized units using WMS order selection and transport to staging locations.
  • Load/unload pallets using equipment in an efficient and safe manner.
  • Check/count pallets for accuracy and/or damage and infestation, record temperatures.
  • Record item, weight, count, and condition of product via RF WMS system to ensure proper receipt/shipment of each pallet.
  • Manually unload and load product on and off containers or pallets.
  • Manually wrap or use shrink wrap machine to secure product on pallets.
  • Operate manual or electric pallet jack, ESR/High Reach, dock truck equipment.
  • Operate deslat machine.
  • Stick labels to the appropriate cases.
  • Document and report all damages to Supervisor/Lead immediately.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly warehouse.
  • Comply with all OHSA standards and Flexcold safety policies.
  • Monitor battery charge, maintain cleanliness of equipment, park at proper charging station, and follow battery charging procedure.
  • Perform other duties outside of normal duties from time to time as requested.
  • HS diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1+ years’ operating warehouse equipment.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Awareness of the safety and official procedures for handling goods and supplies.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and shift, including weekends if needed.
  • Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius while wearing company provided PPE and freezer gear.
  • Ability to tolerate heights up to 50 ft and be able to access elevated product from inside safety cage.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and meet set targets and deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently or with a team.
