Job Description

Manager of Data & Analytics

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Manager of Data & Analytics based in Canada.

This role sits at the core of enterprise data strategy, transforming complex datasets into actionable insights that guide business decisions across a fast-growing fitness organization. You will lead the development of scalable reporting systems, modernize data infrastructure, and ensure stakeholders have access to reliable, timely analytics. The position combines hands-on technical leadership with team management, requiring both strategic vision and operational execution. You will oversee dashboards, data pipelines, and BI systems while driving improvements in automation, data quality, and accessibility. Acting as a key partner to business leaders, you will translate analytical findings into clear narratives that support performance optimization and growth. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in building data capabilities that directly influence organizational strategy.

Accountabilities:

You will lead the organization’s data and analytics function, ensuring robust reporting, high-quality insights, and scalable infrastructure that supports business decision-making, including:

  • Owning and evolving the enterprise data and analytics strategy, including reporting frameworks and BI infrastructure
  • Managing and optimizing Tableau Online environments, dashboards, and reporting systems
  • Overseeing data pipelines, workflows, and automation initiatives to improve scalability and accuracy
  • Translating business needs into actionable insights and analytical solutions for stakeholders across departments
  • Partnering with finance and business leaders to troubleshoot data issues and support critical decision-making
  • Leading a team of analysts or data professionals, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and development
  • Driving data governance, quality standards, privacy, and compliance across all systems
  • Promoting data literacy and embedding data-driven decision-making across the organization
Requirements:

The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise in data analytics with leadership experience and the ability to translate complex data into business value, including:

  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, BI, IT, or technical operations roles
  • 3+ years of experience in data analytics or business intelligence, including exposure to leadership or ownership responsibilities
  • Strong proficiency with SQL and data visualization tools such as Tableau (or similar BI platforms)
  • Experience designing dashboards, reporting systems, and data pipelines in enterprise environments
  • Understanding of data architecture, system integration, and reporting automation
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience managing stakeholders and aligning analytics work with business priorities
  • Leadership experience in mentoring, coaching, or managing team members
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
