Job Description

What if marketing had a seat at the table — and you were helping shape the conversation?

This Senior Marketing Manager role offers the opportunity to do exactly that. As marketing continues to evolve into a strategic business partner within the organization, they're looking for an experienced B2B marketer who can connect customer insights, business goals, and marketing initiatives into a clear plan for growth.

Smart, Savvy + Associates is partnering with a large, established industrial organization in their search for a Senior Marketing Manager. This newly created role was built in response to the growing complexity of one of the company's largest business units and offers the opportunity to influence both marketing strategy and business outcomes at a significant scale.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, you'll help shape go-to-market strategy, identify growth opportunities, and elevate how marketing supports a complex, relationship-driven business. You'll join a collaborative, high-performing team that is increasingly being invited to the strategic table.

This is a role for someone who enjoys asking questions, challenging assumptions, and bringing forward new ideas backed by insight and data. If you're energized by turning business objectives into meaningful marketing strategies and want the opportunity to make a visible impact, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do
Lead strategic marketing planning

  • Develop and own long-term marketing strategies and annual marketing plans aligned with business objectives
  • Build customer-centric marketing programs that support growth across complex B2B sales cycles
  • Conduct market, customer, and competitive research to identify opportunities and inform decision-making
  • Define KPIs and measurement frameworks that demonstrate marketing's contribution to business outcomes

Strengthen customer marketing and content strategy

  • Develop customer segmentation, buyer personas, and customer journey frameworks
  • Lead the development of value propositions and messaging strategies
  • Build content roadmaps that support awareness, consideration, purchase, retention, and advocacy
  • Partner with internal subject matter experts to translate technical expertise into compelling customer-facing content

Advance account-based marketing and sales enablement

  • Develop targeted account-based marketing strategies for key customer segments
  • Partner closely with sales leaders to support complex, multi-stakeholder buying journeys
  • Strengthen sales enablement materials, proposals, presentations, and supporting content
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer engagement throughout the sales process

Build trusted stakeholder relationships

  • Act as a senior marketing advisor to executive and operational stakeholders
  • Present recommendations, insights, and marketing plans to senior leaders
  • Build credibility through strong communication, business acumen, and strategic thinking
  • Collaborate across marketing, sales, operations, and external partners

What You Bring

  • 7+ years of B2B marketing experience, ideally within industrial, mining, construction, engineering, manufacturing, or similarly complex sectors
  • Proven experience developing customer-centric strategic marketing plans
  • Strong background in content strategy, customer marketing, and sales enablement
  • Experience working with executive stakeholders and influencing without authority
  • Understanding of digital marketing channels and how they support business objectives
  • Experience managing significant marketing budgets
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive, curious, and confident approach to problem-solving

Nice to have:

  • Experience with account-based marketing (ABM)
  • Exposure to mining, heavy equipment, construction, energy, or industrial sectors
  • Experience developing buyer personas and customer journey frameworks
