We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Planner to join our Operations team in Norwood, NJ. This role is responsible for planning and scheduling production activities, managing raw material requirements, and ensuring customer orders are fulfilled on time. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, possess strong analytical skills, and collaborate effectively across departments to maintain service levels and inventory targets.
What you'll do...
- Develop and manage production schedules to ensure on-time delivery and achievement of customer service targets.
- Plan and procure raw materials by analyzing ERP requirements, inventory levels, safety stock, and demand forecasts.
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Production, Quality, and Warehouse teams to resolve supply issues and support order fulfillment.
- Create and manage purchase orders, maintain supplier relationships, and address quality, delivery, and inventory challenges.
- Support continuous improvement, cost-reduction initiatives, and operational reporting for leadership.
- Maintain business continuity through cross-functional support, including procurement, inventory management, and vendor coordination.
Qualifications you will bring..
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of production planning, supply chain, or materials management experience in fragrance, flavors, chemicals or related manufacturing environment.
- APICS/ASCM certification a plus.
- Strong understanding of purchasing, inventory management, and production planning principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams), NetSuite, Batchmetrics, or similar ERP Platforms.
- Experience using ERP systems.
