Description: Job Overview Summary

The IT Intern supports the Information Technology department through rotations across Helpdesk, Business Intelligence, and ConnectWise Support. The role provides hands-on experience supporting IT operations while delivering lasting business value through technical projects, documentation, and an employee laptop refurbishment and resale program.

What you’ll be doing (and doing well!):

• Provide Tier-1 helpdesk support, endpoint imaging, deployment, and asset inventory management.

• Assist with Business Intelligence reports, dashboard QA, data cleanup, and ad hoc analysis.

• Support ConnectWise workflow testing, configuration, documentation, and process improvements.

• Refurbish retired laptops through secure data sanitization, imaging, testing, grading, and asset tagging.

• Assist in developing and maintaining the employee laptop resale portal and payroll reporting workflow.

• Create knowledge base articles and standard operating procedures.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, HR, Payroll, Finance, and Security.

• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Goals & Outcomes:
  • Develop core IT support skills by providing Tier 1 Helpdesk support, imaging and deploying devices, maintaining IT assets, and creating knowledge base documentation to improve internal support operations.
  • Strengthen business systems and data quality by assisting with Business Intelligence reporting, dashboard validation, ConnectWise administration, data cleanup, and process documentation that improve operational efficiency.
  • Build and document the laptop refurbishment program by securely sanitizing, upgrading, testing, grading, and preparing retired laptops for employee resale while creating repeatable standard operating procedures.
  • Support development of the employee laptop resale portal by assisting with inventory listings, purchase workflows, payroll reporting, and fulfillment processes to deliver a sustainable, reusable business solution.
  • Demonstrate professional growth and project ownership by successfully managing assignments across multiple IT teams, collaborating with stakeholders, communicating project progress, and presenting final deliverables and recommendations to IT leadership.

What we Like about you:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, Cybersecurity, or related field (rising senior preferred).
  • Strong technical aptitude and desire to learn.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with Windows, Microsoft 365, Power BI, or scripting is a plus.
  • Positive attitude and attention to detail.

Pay Transparency Statement

The base pay range for this role is $18.00 - $24.00 hourly. Note that wage may vary based on location, skills, and experience and may vary from the amounts listed above.
