Position Summary

The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for, but not limited to, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of all inventory processes for our 503A pharmacy. You will be a key player in our operations, directly contributing to cost savings, regulatory compliance, and our overall business growth. This role is perfect for a proactive and detail-oriented professional who can help us build a scalable and highly organized inventory system from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and optimize inventory levels and records to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
  • Execute regular inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain stock integrity.
  • Collaborate on the receiving process by accurately verifying incoming shipments and inspecting for quality and damage.
  • Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas for cost savings.
  • Ensure all inventory management practices comply with regulatory requirements, including GMP and FDA regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments and suppliers to ensure a seamless flow of materials for production.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2-3 years of proven experience in a dedicated inventory control role.
  • Experience with inventory management software and ERP systems, such as Net Suite.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and pinpoint opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field such as supply chain management or logistics.
  • Previous experience in a pharmaceutical or other regulated industry.
  • Certification in inventory management or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite or Google Workspace, with a focus on using spreadsheet tools (like Excel or Google Sheets) for data analysis and reporting.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift packages up to 35 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members, suppliers, and other departments.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions, such as counting, scanning, and typing.
  • Ability to work in a typical warehouse environment with moderate noise levels.
