Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Behavioral Health, the Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the group therapy program. The goal of this role is to deliver a patient experience that is trauma-informed, patient-centered, evidence-based, and of the highest quality.
Essential Job Functions- Create and maintain the unit's group therapy schedule, ensuring it is implemented on a daily basis as designed.
- Develop, update, and coordinate the group therapy program schedule by utilizing the skills and expertise of all disciplines involved in patient care.
- Innovate, develop, and introduce evidence-based group programming that reflects the needs of patients.
- Ensure all group therapy and alternative-to-group documentation is completed accurately and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Attend Treatment Team meetings to provide updates on patients' clinical presentation, skills assessment, and participation in group therapy, and provide clinical consultation as appropriate.
- Develop and maintain a Group Resource Manual that includes group descriptions, goals, methods, and resources.
- Participate in quality improvement projects related to group programming and other initiatives as assigned.
- Provide supervision and oversight of interns, when education and experience permit.
- Provide group therapy training for unit staff as directed.
- Maintain and support patients' rights to care, privacy, and respect.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Master's degree in Education, Counseling, Expressive Therapy, Art Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience providing individual and/or group therapy.
- Inpatient behavioral health experience preferred.
- Current Massachusetts licensure in specialty preferred.
- BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
- CPI certification within 30 days of hire required.

- Computer skills.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
