This is a strategic product marketing leadership role focused on growing a high-impact solution addressing one of the most pressing challenges facing K-12 education: chronic absenteeism. You will own the market strategy for an expanding attendance product line, shaping its positioning, messaging, packaging, pricing, and go-to-market approach. The role combines deep market research, customer insight, competitive intelligence, and cross-functional leadership. You will become a subject-matter expert on attendance challenges, district buying dynamics, funding models, and emerging market trends. Your work will influence both how the product evolves and how Sales and Customer Success teams bring it to market. Success means creating a differentiated market narrative, accelerating adoption, and turning customer and competitive insights into meaningful business decisions. This is an opportunity to help shape a growing product line while contributing to stronger engagement and outcomes for students and families.
- Own the overall market strategy for the attendance product line, including positioning, messaging, segmentation, value propositions, and growth opportunities.
- Translate chronic absenteeism research, district challenges, and customer needs into compelling narratives that resonate with superintendents, student services leaders, attendance teams, school boards, and other members of the buying committee.
- Develop deep expertise in the attendance and chronic absenteeism market, including state-level attendance funding formulas, district budget cycles, purchasing dynamics, emerging trends, and competitive offerings.
- Partner closely with Product and leadership teams on pricing, packaging, segmentation, roadmap priorities, and other strategic decisions, bringing market intelligence directly into product planning.
- Identify high-potential customer segments, use cases, and expansion opportunities and develop strategies to reach and engage them.
- Lead go-to-market planning for new capabilities, determining the appropriate level of investment and launch support based on each release's strategic importance.
- Define launch objectives and success metrics, monitor adoption and market response, and use customer feedback and field insights to refine future product and go-to-market strategies.
- Conduct and leverage win/loss analysis and customer research to understand why opportunities are won or lost and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Partner with Sales Enablement to equip Sales and Customer Success teams with buyer-specific messaging, competitive battlecards, ROI and outcomes frameworks, objection handling, and product updates.
- Enable customer-facing teams to communicate new capabilities, positioning changes, differentiation, and competitive responses confidently and consistently.
- Drive alignment across Product, Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and executive leadership around market priorities, customer needs, and a shared strategy for winning.
- Identify strategic risks and opportunities early and turn market intelligence into clear recommendations for leadership.
- Represent the product line at relevant industry events and conferences, engaging directly with customers, prospects, and the broader education community.
- 8+ years of product marketing experience, with meaningful ownership of product strategy, positioning, messaging, and go-to-market execution for a product or business line.
- Proven track record of scaling a new product line through complex expansion motions, particularly where new buyers must be reached within existing customer accounts.
- Demonstrated ability to use customer research, market intelligence, competitive analysis, and win/loss insights to influence product and business decisions.
- Strong understanding of go-to-market strategy, product launches, market segmentation, positioning, pricing, packaging, and adoption measurement.
- Exceptional storytelling and written communication skills, with the ability to transform complex customer problems and product capabilities into clear, compelling, and differentiated narratives.
- Strong executive presence and the ability to earn leadership sponsorship while building credibility and adoption among frontline users and stakeholders.
- High standards, strong commercial drive, and a results-oriented mindset, with the ability to take ownership and make strategic decisions in an evolving environment.
- Experience partnering cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and executive teams.
- Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to turn qualitative and quantitative insights into practical recommendations.
- Genuine interest in the chronic absenteeism and K-12 education landscape, with the curiosity and commitment to become a subject-matter expert in the space.
- Willingness to travel approximately 20% for industry events, conferences, customer meetings, and engagement with the education community.
- Salary range of $120,000–$165,000, depending on experience.
- Employer-paid health insurance, including dependent coverage.
- Employer-matched 401(k) retirement savings program starting from day one.
- Paid parental leave.
- Stock options.
- Health and wellness reimbursement programs.
- PTO that increases with tenure.
- 15 paid holidays, including your birthday.
- Fully remote work environment.
- Home office equipment and tools provided to support effective remote work.
- Opportunity to contribute to a rapidly growing product and mission focused on improving student and family outcomes.
- Collaborative environment with opportunities for professional growth and increasing strategic responsibility.
