Job Description

Description:

The Bernstein Companies | Washington, DC

The Bernstein Companies is seeking a People & Brand Coordinator to join our Washington, DC corporate team.

This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional who is highly organized, curious, resourceful, and eager to learn how a business operates from the inside.

This is not a role where every day follows the same checklist. Priorities shift, new projects come up, and requests can come from multiple directions. We need someone who can organize the moving pieces, determine what needs attention first, and keep things moving without losing sight of the bigger picture.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate multiple corporate projects, priorities, and special initiatives.
  • Support People & Culture initiatives, including recruiting, onboarding, employee communications, engagement, reporting, and special projects.
  • Help turn ideas and conversations into organized action plans with clear next steps and follow-through.
  • Research issues, gather information, and help identify solutions.
  • Help maintain and manage the organization’s digital presence.
  • Coordinate company meetings, events, vendors, logistics, and materials.
  • Maintain project trackers, documentation, shared resources, and deadlines.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, organization, and communication.
  • Provide support across the corporate team as priorities evolve.
  • Occasionally travel to company locations for project or operational support.

Who We're Looking For

You may have five things on your list when three more arrive. The right person can pivot, reprioritize, and stay on top of it all without letting things fall through the cracks.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Knows how to prioritize competing requests and deadlines.
  • Connects the dots and understands how individual tasks support larger goals.
  • Goes beyond the surface by asking questions, researching, and getting to the root of an issue.
  • Thinks ahead and anticipates what may be needed next.
  • Takes ownership and follows things through to completion.
  • Can create structure when an assignment doesn't come with a perfect roadmap.
  • Has strong judgment and knows when to act independently and when to ask for guidance.
  • Is exceptionally organized while still seeing the bigger picture.
  • Communicates clearly and works well with different teams and personalities.
  • Is comfortable with technology and quick to learn new systems.
  • Is trustworthy and professional with confidential information.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; candidates currently completing their degree may also be considered.
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience, and internships count.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Confidence managing multiple priorities and changing deadlines.
  • Curiosity, initiative, good judgment, and a willingness to jump in wherever needed.

Experience in HR, business operations, project coordination, hospitality, events, or administrative support is a plus, but we're equally interested in potential, attitude, and how you think.

Why Join Us?

You'll work alongside experienced corporate leaders, contribute to real business priorities, and gain exposure to multiple areas of the organization while developing skills that can take your career in many directions.

We offer competitive pay and benefits, paid time off, a 401(k) with company match, professional development, and opportunities to grow.

You don't need to walk in knowing everything. But you should walk in wanting to learn everything you can.

If you're curious, dependable, organized, and someone who naturally asks, “How does this all connect?” we'd like to hear from you.
