Unique Skills:

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Data Center Facilities, Telecommunications, Network Infrastructure, or related fields.

  • Basic knowledge of:

  • Structured cabling standards and practices.

  • MDF and IDF operations.

  • UPS, PDU, and power distribution systems.

  • HVAC systems supporting telecommunications environments.

  • Network infrastructure installations for layout change projects.

  • Network switches, wireless access points, and IP security cameras.

  • Intermediate English proficiency (written and verbal).

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, Telecommunications, Networking, Electronics, Engineering, or a related field.

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or Technology related field required. 2 years Participate in data center operations, including MDF and IDF data wiring and structured cabling.

Position Purpose:

To maintain, run and support data center facilities to ensure that the entire data center and its various dependent systems are operating effectively according to company standards.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

  • Provide onsite support to troubleshoot data center facility systems and related equipment, including PDUs, racks, cabinets, and physical grounding systems across all buildings.
  • Execute scheduled data center facility maintenance and approved layout changes. Open, support, and track work orders for routine and emergency maintenance activities.
  • Support installation, removal, and relocation activities to help ensure the data center and related systems operate effectively.
  • Provide statistical data as required. to support reports on installed onsite systems.
  • Serve as the Tier 1 contact between the business and vendors for supported infrastructure. Escort vendors while onsite at Gulfstream facilities and obtain required. approvals for tools and equipment permits in accordance with current policies.
  • Provide onsite and remote support for data center and IDF creation projects required. for business expansion or remodeling.
  • Participate in rotational on-call coverage to support emergencies and issue resolution.

    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Other Requirements:

  • Fluent in English communication (verbal, written, technical and non-technical).
  • Basic understanding of Mechanical Systems - Heating and cooling.
  • Basic understanding of Electrical systems UPS, Transformers, Power Distribution Systems.
  • Basic understanding of the ITIL Change Management Process.
  • Analytical, assessment, planning, verbal and written communications skills.
  • Good understanding of corporate IT policies, procedures and standards.
  • Knowledge of Building Management control systems and Environmental Monitoring systems (desirable).

    • A credit history check from a national credit bureau will be conducted for all candidates for this position including new hires and current employees seeking promotion or transfer.
