Sparus Holdings is seeking a Systems Administrator with a strong security focus to support and strengthen our enterprise IT infrastructure. Sparus Holdings is a utility services company supporting customers across the United States, with approximately 2,000 employees across multiple lines of business. The organization operates in a multi-site, largely remote and field-based environment, which requires reliable, secure, and well-managed technology systems.
The Systems Administrator will be responsible for supporting core infrastructure across network, server, and cybersecurity operations. This role will administer and maintain LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPN/ZTNA, Wi-Fi, DNS, SD-WAN, remote access tools, and related connectivity solutions. The position will also support on-premises and Azure server environments, including storage, backup infrastructure, virtualization, and disaster recovery planning and testing.
This position will serve as an internal security owner and key point of contact for cybersecurity operations. Responsibilities include supporting vulnerability management, patching, endpoint protection, email security, security awareness efforts, and incident response coordination. The Systems Administrator will work closely with the managed Security Operations Center provider to support monitoring, escalation, remediation, and follow-through on security events.
This is a full-time, hybrid position based out of the Peachtree Corners, GA headquarters, with a minimum of two days per week on-site.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of hands-on systems administration, network administration, or infrastructure/security experience.
- Experience managing firewalls, VPN, or remote access infrastructure, and server environments.
- Practical cybersecurity experience in vulnerability management, incident response, security monitoring, endpoint protection, or security operations. Experience working in hybrid cloud/on-premises environments; Azure experience preferred.
- Experience creating and maintaining current technical documentation, standards, procedures, and support records.
