Job Description
The Painter performs surface preparation, patching, painting, wall covering and refinishing activities on interior and exterior surfaces, furniture and equipment. Assist with other activities as directed.
This opportunity is for Full time 7am - 3:30pm with rotating weekendsESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Prepares surfaces by removing old wallpaper and/or paint, washing, scraping, patching, and sanding. Patches large holes and tapes drywall joints.
2. Paints interior and exterior surfaces using appropriate product depending on application.
3. Applies wallpaper.
4. Covers floors and furnishings to prevent splattering. Cleans area after work is complete.
5. Mixes and blends paint paints and stains to obtain desired color and consistency.
6. Restores and/or re-finishes wood furniture by stripping old finishes, sanding, and re-varnishing. Keeps work areas orderly, clean, and safe. Assures proper use and storage of tools and supplies. Performs a variety of scheduled preventive maintenance duties and inspections and maintains routine records. Reports more serious problems to Group Leader.

Education and/or Experience
- High School diploma or G.E.D required.
- Experience preferred.
