Creative Design Lead (Marketing Campaigns)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Creative Design Lead (Marketing Campaigns) based in Canada.

This role offers the opportunity to shape impactful marketing experiences for a growing portfolio of digital products and services.
You will lead creative strategy and execution across multiple campaigns, transforming ideas into high-quality visual experiences.
Working within a collaborative and remote-first environment, you will partner with marketing, product, and design teams to bring concepts to life.
The position requires a strong balance of creative vision, strategic thinking, and hands-on design expertise.
You will have ownership over projects from early ideation through final delivery, helping evolve brand expression and marketing effectiveness.
This is an opportunity for an experienced designer to influence creative direction while building scalable design practices.

Accountabilities:

The Creative Design Lead will take ownership of marketing design initiatives, driving creative excellence across campaigns while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The role requires strong conceptual thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to independently manage complex projects from strategy to execution.

  • Lead the creation of high-impact marketing campaigns across digital products, ensuring strong creative direction and brand consistency.
  • Develop concepts, visual systems, and campaign assets from initial ideas through final production.
  • Partner with marketing, product, and design teams to define creative strategies and deliver solutions aligned with business and user goals.
  • Create polished designs using tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, maintaining high standards of craft and execution.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, including project scoping, stakeholder alignment, creative reviews, and delivery.
  • Generate original ideas and explore multiple creative directions to strengthen campaign performance and brand storytelling.
  • Contribute to the evolution of design systems, brand guidelines, and reusable creative frameworks.
  • Provide guidance, feedback, and mentorship to other designers on marketing and brand execution.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative insights to inform design decisions and improve user impact.
  • Clearly communicate design rationale, project goals, and proposed solutions through written documentation and presentations.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced marketing or advertising designer with a strong creative portfolio, strategic mindset, and proven ability to deliver exceptional work in fast-moving environments. They should combine technical design expertise with strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.

  • 9+ years of hands-on experience in marketing, advertising, or brand design within a consumer-facing company or agency environment.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating creative range, excellent execution, design depth, and a distinctive creative perspective.
  • Advanced knowledge of design fundamentals including typography, composition, color theory, and visual storytelling.
  • Proficiency with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Proven experience developing creative concepts and leading campaign design from strategy through execution.
  • Ability to independently manage projects with minimal supervision, including planning, alignment, and delivery.
  • Strong understanding of user-focused design principles and the ability to use insights to guide creative decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain design concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience mentoring or advising other designers is considered a plus.
  • Strong creative problem-solving skills, curiosity, adaptability, and a passion for continuous improvement.
