The Assistant Manager, Housekeeping plays a key leadership role in ensuring our guest rooms and public spaces reflect the quality, care, and consistency our resort is known for. This position supports the Housekeeping Manager in guiding a high‑performing team, maintaining operational excellence, and fostering a culture where every Team Member feels supported, valued, and empowered to deliver outstanding service.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage and mentor Housekeeping Team Members, ensuring they have clear guidance, resources, and support to achieve departmental objectives.
- Establish and maintain effective scheduling procedures to meet business demands.
- Ensure all Team Members have proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms to perform their duties safely and efficiently.
- Oversee accurate and timely payroll reporting.
- Conduct regular room inspections to uphold consistent quality standards and evaluate the effectiveness of existing systems.
- Allocate room assignments and shared‑area workloads to optimize productivity and service flow.
- Assist in developing performance objectives and delivering constructive performance discussions.
- Participate in hiring, training, and onboarding new Team Members.
- Maintain inventory of amenities and supplies as required.
- Manage the internal dry‑cleaning process to ensure timely and accurate service.
- Promote positive guest interactions through prompt, courteous, and efficient service.
- Liaise and communicate effectively with all operational departments to support a seamless guest experience.
- Develop and cultivate strong working relationships with Guests and Team Members.
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety standards, and all statutory regulations.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned or directed.
Qualifications
- Post‑secondary hospitality or hotel education, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 3 years of housekeeping leadership experience.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and mentor a diverse team.
- Ability to criminal a criminal background check.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) considered an asset.
- Working knowledge of floor machines and other relevant equipment; WHMIS and biohazard clean‑up experience an asset.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and familiarity with high‑volume, fast‑paced, multi‑tasking operations.
- Ability to maintain professional business confidentiality.

Standing for extended periods and supporting the operation during days, weekends, and holidays, as part of delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Compensation for this position is aligned with experience, with a salary range of $60,000–$70,000, and eligibility for a performance‑based bonus structure that rewards strong operational results, leadership impact, and contributions to operational excellence.
