Senior SAP FI Consultant

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior SAP FI Consultant based in Brazil.

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP FI Consultant to support the optimization and evolution of financial processes through SAP Financial Accounting solutions and emerging artificial intelligence technologies. In this role, you will contribute to SAP FI implementation, configuration, support, and enhancement initiatives while helping organizations improve the efficiency and reliability of their financial operations. You will collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to analyze requirements, resolve functional issues, and deliver effective solutions aligned with business needs. A key focus will be identifying opportunities to apply AI and automation to streamline financial activities and improve operational performance. This fully remote opportunity offers an indefinite independent contractor engagement, providing the chance to contribute to challenging technology projects. The ideal candidate combines deep SAP FI expertise, financial process knowledge, practical AI experience, and strong communication skills.

Accountabilities

  • Support consulting activities related to SAP Financial Accounting (FI), ensuring solutions align with business requirements and financial processes.

  • Participate in SAP FI implementation, configuration, support, and enhancement projects.

  • Analyze and optimize core financial and accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger management, and financial closing.

  • Gather business requirements, conduct functional analyses, and translate stakeholder needs into practical SAP solutions.

  • Identify, investigate, and resolve SAP FI functional issues, supporting troubleshooting and continuous process improvement.

  • Apply artificial intelligence technologies to identify opportunities for automation, innovation, and optimization across financial processes.

  • Evaluate potential AI use cases and contribute to implementing solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.

  • Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to coordinate project activities, validate requirements, and support successful solution delivery.

  • Proactively identify process improvement opportunities and recommend enhancements to existing SAP FI workflows.

  • Manage assigned responsibilities autonomously, prioritizing tasks and responding effectively to changing business needs and project deadlines.

Requirements

  • Strong professional experience with the SAP FI (Financial Accounting) module.

  • Demonstrated experience in SAP FI implementation, configuration, support, and enhancement projects.

  • Solid understanding of core financial and accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial closing.

  • Hands-on experience with artificial intelligence technologies, particularly applying AI solutions to optimize financial processes and business activities.

  • Ability to identify opportunities for AI-driven automation, process innovation, and operational improvement.

  • Experience gathering business requirements, conducting functional analysis, and collaborating with business stakeholders.

  • Experience working on SAP projects, including issue analysis, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Advanced English proficiency, with the ability to communicate effectively in professional and project environments.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with both technical teams and business stakeholders.

  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with a structured approach to investigating issues and developing solutions.

  • Proactivity, autonomy, and accountability in managing responsibilities and delivering results.

  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

  • Strong organizational skills, a sense of urgency, and the ability to prioritize competing tasks and deadlines.
