  • Engage and direct vendors such as field inspectors, engineers, contractors, and appraisers as needed.
  • Evaluate repair estimates, medical records, wage documentation, and other supporting evidence to establish claim value.

Negotiation & Resolution

  • Negotiate settlements with insureds, claimants, attorneys, and representatives within granted authority.
  • Issue payments, denials, or partial payments with clear, well-supported documentation.
  • Maintain accurate, contemporaneous claim notes and file documentation in the claims management system.

Communication & Customer Service

  • Explain coverage decisions, claim processes, and next steps in plain language.
  • Escalate complex or high-value matters to the Claims Supervisor or senior adjuster as appropriate.

Compliance & Quality

  • Adhere to all client handling instructions, state fair-claims-handling regulations, and CITON quality standards.
  • Meet established productivity, cycle-time, and file-quality metrics.
  • Safeguard confidential and personally identifiable information in accordance with data-privacy requirements.
