The Global Strategic Account Director will own a portfolio of strategic enterprise accounts, developing long-term client partnerships while driving revenue expansion and customer success. This role requires strong commercial leadership, consultative selling capabilities, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of high-value strategic accounts with responsibility for revenue growth, retention, and customer satisfaction.
- Build trusted relationships with senior executives, including C-suite stakeholders and key decision-makers.
- Develop and execute comprehensive account strategies aligned with customer objectives and business priorities.
- Identify opportunities for account expansion, cross-selling, and upselling across a broad solution portfolio.
- Lead complex consultative sales cycles, negotiations, and enterprise-level partnership discussions.
- Act as the primary point of contact for strategic clients, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
- Conduct executive business reviews and communicate account performance, opportunities, and strategic recommendations.
- Collaborate with internal teams across sales, product, consulting, customer success, and operations to deliver client value.
- Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM documentation.
- Monitor industry trends and customer needs to identify emerging opportunities and strengthen market positioning.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in enterprise sales, strategic account management, and relationship development within complex industries. Strong commercial judgment, communication skills, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders are essential for success.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise sales, strategic account management, or a related commercial leadership role.
- Proven experience selling solutions to pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, Life Sciences, or Healthcare organizations.
- Demonstrated success managing complex enterprise accounts with multiple stakeholders and global teams.
- Experience selling data, analytics, consulting, technology, or information-based solutions.
- Strong consultative selling approach with the ability to understand customer challenges and develop tailored solutions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills.
- Ability to manage global, matrixed client relationships effectively.
- Experience with enterprise procurement processes, contract negotiations, and account expansion strategies.
- Familiarity with market access, clinical, healthcare data, or related industry solutions is a plus.
- Advanced degree in business, life sciences, or a related field is preferred.
- Competitive annual base salary range of $153,600 - $172,800 USD.
