Job Description
SUMMARY:
The Area Market Director will play a significant role in driving Patterson Pope’s continued success. This position will oversee all sales efforts in a defined territory.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a defined territory.
Penetrate the defined territory and secure profitable business from established customers and new prospects.
Acquire and maintain maximum knowledge of the product and service offerings.
Manage sales projects through to completion.
Other duties may be assigned.

Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
Sales experience preferred but not required.
Must enjoy client outreach and relationship building.
Strong work ethic

Strong leadership skills
Ability to identify and qualify leads.
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Supervisory Ability: General knowledge of various employment laws and practices and employee relations. Evidence of the ability to practice a high level of confidentiality.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral, diagram, or schedule form.
