Job Description
Make a Difference Through Wellness
Sun City Lincoln Hills is seeking an enthusiastic and engaging Wellness Instructor to lead fitness and wellness classes that inspire residents to stay active, connected, and enriched. This role is ideal for a positive, organized, and customer-focused individual who enjoys creating safe, welcoming, and enjoyable wellness experiences.
The Wellness Instructor will plan, prepare, and deliver a variety of wellness and fitness classes while supporting the mission and service standards of the Sun City Lincoln Hills WellFit Department.
Responsibilities
• Lead assigned wellness and fitness classes in a safe, positive, and engaging
environment.
• Create, update, and implement class structures using accepted wellness and
fitness techniques.
• Provide instruction across a variety of wellness formats, including physical,
intellectual, emotional, social, spiritual, and other areas of wellness.
• Educate participants on proper class components, including warm-up, exercise
techniques, flexibility, cool-down, and overall wellness concepts.
• Welcome residents, conduct sign-ins, and provide outstanding customer service.
• Arrive before classes to prepare the space and greet participants.
• Set up, maintain, and clean equipment and classroom areas.
• Maintain required specialty certifications for classes taught, such as yoga,
Arthritis, Diabetes, or other wellness-based programs.
• Participate in continuing education, department meetings, promotions, and
special events as needed.
• Deliver class announcements and communicate important information to
participants.
• Arrange qualified substitute instructors when unable to teach.
• Maintain attendance participation requirements for assigned classes.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current wellness-related certification from a recognized organization or a degree
in a related field.
• Current First Aid certification or equivalent.
• Current Adult CPR/AED certification or equivalent.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience leading wellness, fitness, or group exercise programs preferred.

exposure to humidity and pool chemicals.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to remain focused and effective while managing interruptions and
changing priorities.
