Health Care Alliance North America (HCANA) started with Oasis Recovery Center in Asheville, NC. Our founders wanted to create an addiction treatment center that treated clients as individuals, casting aside the impersonal and apathetic approaches used by other providers, including the recovery centers they attended themselves. Four years later, as Oasis Recovery was established as a leader in the recovery community, our founders knew the next step was to increase our services to reach people who needed urgent help across all levels of care, and HCANA was born.

Since 2018, HCANA has opened a dedicated detox facility in Asheville near Mission Hospital, a 24/7 residential treatment center in Knoxville, TN, and a holistic and adventure-based treatment center in Ocoee, TN. As we expand, we are dedicated to ensuring that our services maintain the same quality and individualized care across all our centers. Every aspect of treatment is intentional, from our clinicians customizing treatment plans and empathizing with clients to the joyful conversations and snacks our transportation providers gladly offer as they take clients to and from the centers.

About the role

Knoxville Recovery Center is seeking an experienced and compassionate Clinical Director to lead our clinical team and oversee the delivery of high-quality behavioral health and substance use disorder services. This is a full-time, salaried leadership position responsible for supporting clinical excellence, staff development, regulatory compliance, and strong client outcomes.

The Clinical Director will work closely with therapists, counselors, case management, medical, nursing, operations, and executive leadership to ensure coordinated, ethical, and recovery-focused care.

What you'll do

• Provide leadership, supervision, and direction to the clinical department.
• Supervise, mentor, and support therapists, counselors, case managers, and other clinical staff.
• Oversee clinical documentation, treatment planning, assessments, and continuity of care.
• Help ensure services are evidence-based, trauma-informed, ethical, and client-centered.
• Monitor clinical quality and support strong client outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, applicable regulations, and accreditation standards.
• Support hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and professional development of clinical staff.
• Collaborate with medical, nursing, admissions, operations, and leadership teams.
• Assist with clinical programming, workflow improvements, and department initiatives.
• Maintain a safe, professional, and recovery-oriented environment for clients and staff.

Qualifications

• Appropriate clinical licensure or eligibility for licensure preferred.
• Previous experience working in behavioral health, mental health, or substance use disorder treatment.
• Prior clinical leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of clinical documentation, treatment planning, and ethical standards of care.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
