Job Description
Location: Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid - in office Tuesdays and Thursdays)
About Vertical Insure
Vertical Insure is the leading embedded insurance platform built for vertical SaaS platforms. We offer customized insurance options tailored to each business and its customers, adding value and generating new revenue without extra overhead. Our approach is simple; we are removing the burden from buying insurance by embedding it into our partners’ existing product flow making financial protection effortless and timely.
The Product Manager - Growth role is responsible for accelerating and scaling our experimentation program. This is an individual contributor role focused on driving sustainable, data-driven growth across the funnel – from how we position offers within partner platforms to how we optimize conversion across verticals, channels, and partners. Success is measured by demonstrable improvements in conversion rate and revenue growth.
Our Minneapolis office operates on a hybrid model, with in-office collaboration on Tuesdays and Thursdays. At this time, we’re only considering local candidates.
Why This Role Matters
This is a high-impact, high-visibility role that owns the experiments roadmap and backlog for our core and growth verticals, reporting to the Director of Product Management (Growth). You will be accountable for driving measurable improvements to conversion rate – from identifying growth levers and customer friction points, to coordinating rapid iteration and scaling what works. The ideal candidate is a hands-on builder with a rigorous approach to experimentation and a sharp point of view on buyer psychology – what motivates purchases, what creates hesitation, and what converts at scale. You’ll own the A/B test lifecycle end to end, move quickly, use AI tools to increase your output, and build repeatable systems for testing, learning, and scaling.
What You'll Do
Experimentation
- Prioritize and maintain the A/B and multivariate testing backlog, informed by funnel analytics, user research, and competitive analysis
- Independently prototype offer layouts, design, and copy, then partner with engineering to bring test concepts to life
- Design and analyze experiments with strong statistical rigor
- Translate results – wins and losses alike – into clear product decisions, using post-launch data to shape the next round of iteration
- Communicate strategy, insights, and trade-offs to senior leadership with a focus on business impact
Product Insights and Strategy
- Analyze and segment funnel performance – across offers, quotes, purchases, verticals, partners, and channels – to surface the highest-leverage optimization opportunities
- Maintain reporting that makes funnel health and experiment results visible and actionable for cross-functional stakeholders
- Conduct direct consumer research (interviews, surveys, usability testing, behavioral analysis) to uncover insights that drive product decisions
- Partner with Sales and Implementation to shape how offers are placed and presented within partner platforms, serving as the internal source of truth on which placements and flows drive the strongest conversion outcomes
Optimization Engine and AI-powered Growth
- Partner with engineering to evolve the experimentation tech stack, improving efficiency across the experiment lifecycle from inception to analysis
- Use AI to speed up test ideation, hypothesis generation, copy/variant drafting, and segment-level analysis – while pressure-testing AI-generated conclusions against rigorous evidence
Who You Are
- 3+ years of experience in growth, product, marketing, analytics, or another highly cross-functional role
- A proven experimentation track record: you’ve run experiment programs and know how to design, call, and sequence tests for maximum learning, ideally running 5+ tests at any given time
- Strong creative judgment and empathy – you turn customer pain points into compelling test ideas
- Comfort with funnel analytics: you pull your own data, know your way around SQL and BI tools (Metabase, Tableau) and can distinguish signal from noise
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to influence without authority
- Experience working closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and customer-facing teams
- Comfort operating within regulated environments – you understand (or can quickly learn) how insurance, risk, legal, or compliance constraints shape what can be tested and shipped
Experience That Goes the Extra Mile
- You’ve navigated complex stakeholder environments like Insurance, Risk, Legal, or Compliance, and know how to move fast within constraints.
- Experience with our A/B testing platforms (GrowthBook) or similar (StatSig, Eppo, PostHog, or others)
What We Offer
The estimated base salary range for this role is: $100,000 - $130,000 per year, based on experience, skills, and scope of responsibility.
We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, life insurance, flexible PTO, gym membership, 401(k), and more.
