Position Purpose:
The Contract Specialist performs acquisition and contract administration support services by applying sound judgment and knowledge of the federal acquisition lifecycle, including pre-award, proposal development, subcontract administration, and post-award contract management. This position supports business development initiatives, proposal efforts, subcontractor coordination, and corporate compliance activities while ensuring adherence to applicable regulations, company policies, and customer requirements.
The Contract Specialist is expected to be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can identify requirements, take initiative, manage competing priorities, and proactively drive tasks to completion in a fast-paced government contracting environment.
Essential Functions of the Position:

- Support all phases of the federal acquisition and contract administration lifecycle, including pre-award, proposal development, award, administration, and closeout activities.
- Assist with business development and capture efforts by supporting proposal preparation, review, compliance checks, subcontractor coordination, and solicitation analysis.
- Coordinate and serve as liaison between internal departments, subcontractors, teaming partners, and external customers to ensure timely execution of contractual and proposal requirements.
- Lead subcontractor communication efforts including collection of proposal documentation, nondisclosure agreements (NDAs), teaming agreements, pricing submissions, representations and certifications, and other required contractual documentation.
- Review solicitations, Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Requests for Quote (RFQs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and contract modifications to identify compliance requirements, risks, and action items.
- Draft, review, revise, route, and maintain contractual and legal documents including Non-Disclosure Agreements, Teaming Agreements, Letters of Intent, Subcontracts, Notice Letters, and other contractual instruments.
- Maintain and update contract and subcontract databases, trackers, and reporting systems, including modifications, compliance requirements, PCOLS, deliverables, notices, and other contract-related actions.
- Monitor and track contract and subcontract actions to ensure timely completion, compliance, and proper documentation.
- Support proposal development activities including document formatting, compliance matrices, proposal coordination, and deadline management.
- Conduct research and analysis related to FAR, DFARS, customer requirements, and procurement regulations and present findings in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
- Apply knowledge of procurement procedures and acquisition regulations including FAR, DFARS, and other agency supplements to support contractual actions and business operations.
- Demonstrate strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Exercise sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive contractual, proprietary, and company information.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while demonstrating initiative, accountability, and ownership of assigned responsibilities.
- Collaborate effectively with program management, contracts, finance, operations, and executive leadership to support company objectives and customer requirements.

Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Contracts Management, Acquisition, Legal Studies, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience supporting government contracts, acquisition, subcontract administration, proposal development, or related contract management activities.
- Experience supporting federal government contracting environments preferred.
- Familiarity with FAR, DFARS, and government procurement processes preferred.
- Experience supporting proposal development and subcontractor coordination is highly desirable.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance
