Job Description
Position Summary
Quality Electrical Systems (QES) is seeking a motivated Apprentice Electrician to support the assembly, wiring, installation, and testing of Power Distribution Units (PDUs) and related electrical equipment. This position is ideal for individuals looking to grow their electrical career through hands-on experience in industrial and commercial power systems.
The Apprentice Electrician will work closely with experienced electricians, engineers, and production teams to assist in building custom electrical distribution equipment while learning industry best practices, safety standards, and electrical installation techniques.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the assembly and wiring of Power Distribution Units (PDUs), switchgear, and related electrical equipment
Pull, route, label, and terminate electrical wiring and cables
Install electrical components including breakers, panels, relays, transformers, and control devices
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings
Support electrical testing, troubleshooting, and quality inspections
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner
Follow company safety procedures and electrical standards at all times
Collaborate with electricians, production staff, and supervisors to meet project schedules and production goals
Assist with material handling and inventory organization as needed
Continuously learn electrical systems, installation methods, and manufacturing processes
Qualifications
Required
High school diploma or GED
Basic knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and safety practices
Ability to use hand and power tools safely
Ability to read measuring devices and follow technical instructions
Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and positive attitude
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment
Preferred
Enrollment in or completion of an electrical apprenticeship program
Previous experience in electrical assembly, construction, manufacturing, or industrial environments
Familiarity with electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
OSHA 10 certification or similar safety training
