Job Description
CORMAC is seeking a Full Stack Engineer with a strong backend and reporting focus to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience building and optimizing data-driven applications, working with complex datasets, and delivering reliable reporting solutions that support informed decision-making.
In this role, you will collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams to design, develop, and maintain custom reporting tools and backend services that improve visibility into key business operations.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and refine reporting and data requirementsDesign, develop, and maintain backend services and microservices supporting reporting and data workflowsWrite and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers using relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, PL/SQL)Analyze data sources and define efficient methods for data extraction, transformation, and integrationMonitor and optimize performance of reports and backend services to ensure scalability and efficiency as data volumes growIntegrate internal and external data sources while maintaining data integrity and securityPerform testing and validation to ensure accuracy, reliability, and proper presentation of reporting outputsContribute to front-end development using Node.js, React, and TypeScript, supporting reporting interfaces and user-facing components as neededImplement automated reporting and scheduling processes to support timely distribution of insightsDocument technical designs, data definitions, and processes for long-term maintainabilityCollaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, data engineers, and product teamsTroubleshoot and resolve report-related and data performance issuesSupport containerized application development using Docker
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related fieldMust be a U.S. CitizenMust be able to obtain Public Trust (PT) Clearance 3–5 years of experience in software engineering or report-focused application developmentStrong experience with relational databases and SQL-based developmentExperience implementing and maintaining microservices architecturesExperience with Node.js, React, TypeScript, and HTML/CSSHands-on experience with Docker in development and deployment environmentsExperience working in Agile/Scrum teamsStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsAbility to obtain a Public Trust (Tier 1) Security ClearanceAbility to successfully complete required background investigation and fingerprinting as part of the Public Trust (Tier 1) clearance processMust be a U.S. Citizen or lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder) due to federal security requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with data modeling and data architectureExperience working with large-scale or high-volume datasetsExperience using NestHydrationJS to give structure to flat dataExperience generating PDFs using PUG-PDF in Node.jsFamiliarity with Agile tools such as JIRA and Git
Interview Process:
The interview process may include multiple stages. The final interview may be conducted in person, depending on business needs.
Travel Expectations:
Travel requirements are minimal and may include at least one trip per year.
