YOUR PURPOSE
In the role of a Project Manager, you will lead projects from vision to completion, ensuring every outcome reflects exceptional design, disciplined execution, and a seamless client experience. You take ownership of the full project lifecycle, understanding the scope, planning the work, exceeding client expectations, guiding project teams, and steering the project toward successful delivery. You are accountable for what matters most: project profitability, client satisfaction, and strengthening the firm’s business development efforts. You bring clarity, coordination, and confidence to every phase of the work, creating an environment where teams perform at their best and clients feel supported and informed. You will lead projects from conception through construction, ensuring alignment with design intent, schedule, contractual commitments, and budget goals.

- Collaborate with Principals and Partners to shape project strategy, including fee proposals, fee negotiations, and assembling and guiding project teams.
- Develop project fees aligned with scope, staffing, market conditions, and correct cost analysis.
- Prepare and maintain a comprehensive project management plan that guides the work from conception through completion.
- Manage project scope relative to the contract, tracking changes in scope, schedule, and budget with clarity and discipline.

Client Engagement
- Participate in business development efforts, including marketing, networking, and involvement in professional organizations, to build meaningful future client relationships.
- Develop proposals by shaping fees, defining scope, selecting teams, establishing schedules, and preparing for interviews.
- Collaborate with Principals and Partners to prepare contracts that clearly define expectations and responsibilities.
- Engage in client interviews to understand client needs, priorities, and project goals.
- Work closely with clients during planning and design to determine solutions, define scope, and ensure the project aligns with their vision.
- Build trust through proactive communication, thoughtful problem-solving, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional client experience.
Project Leadership
- Construct the scope of work and develop project budgets that reflect client needs and project realities.
- Lead projects from early concept phase through construction and completion, ensuring alignment with design intent, schedule, contractual obligations, and budget goals.
- Collaborate with the design team on technical decisions, design presentations, and project reviews.
- Coordinate outside consultants, including selection, fee negotiation, invoice review, and ongoing communication.
- Provide expertise in contractual negotiations and production meetings, helping the team navigate challenges with confidence.
- Monitor quality control of documents and deliverables, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and technical excellence.
- Track scope, schedule, and budget changes, communicating impacts and guiding the team through adjustments.
- May conduct construction site visits to observe progress and verify alignment with design and documentation.
- Ensure all project activities support client satisfaction, project profitability, and opportunities for future work.
- Perform other project leadership responsibilities as needed to support successful client outcomes.

Professional Foundations
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design, or Landscape Architecture, etc., from an accredited institution.
- Professional licensure and industry-relevant certifications and accreditations required.
- 10 + years of experience as a project manager relevant to our industry.
- A well-rounded understanding of the architecture, engineering, and design process, including how projects move from concept phase through construction.
- Knowledge of building systems, construction materials, codes, and industry standards to guide teams and ensure technical excellence.
- Strong familiarity with construction administration and construction practices that allow effective collaboration with contractors and field teams
- Bring a business-minded perspective, with an understanding of how decisions impact performance, client satisfaction, and the firm’s success.
- Experience navigating various project delivery methods, from studies and programming to concept design and project close-out.
- Active involvement in community boards, professional organizations, and events that enhance the firm’s visibility.
- Working knowledge of Revit to support the coordination of project deliverables.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, Teams) to support project management and business operations
- Knowledge of Google Workspace (Slides, Docs, Sheets, Forms, Calendar, Gmail) to enhance collaboration and communication across teams and clients.
- Knowledge of Deltek Vantagepoint for project management.
