Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Manager, Data Analytics based in Canada.
This is a highly visible leadership opportunity focused on using analytics to shape strategy across ecommerce, health, merchandising, inventory, and fulfillment.
You’ll lead a team of five experienced analysts and data scientists while remaining hands-on with high-impact analytical work.
The role combines people leadership, strategic thinking, advanced analytics, and close partnership with senior and executive stakeholders.
You’ll establish KPI and reporting standards while translating complex business questions into clear, actionable recommendations.
A major focus will be advancing AI-native analytics, including self-serve capabilities that make data more accessible across the organization.
You’ll work in a remote-first, fast-moving environment where AI is embedded into everyday workflows and analytical decision-making.
This role is ideal for an experienced analytics leader who wants to influence business direction while staying close to the data and technology.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of five experienced analysts and data scientists, providing prioritization, performance guidance, quarterly goal-setting, and effective stakeholder handoffs.
- Own a meaningful portfolio of hands-on analytical work spanning ecommerce, supply chain, health, merchandising, inventory, and fulfillment.
- Partner directly with senior leaders and executives to identify opportunities, shape priorities, and translate data into strategic recommendations.
- Define, maintain, and champion KPI frameworks and reporting standards across relevant business functions.
- Build and execute a prioritized analytics roadmap, balancing business impact, urgency, analytical rigor, and available resources.
- Advance AI-native analytics capabilities, including self-service tools, semantic and context layers, and AI-connected reporting.
- Establish high standards for modern, AI-forward analytics and encourage knowledge sharing, experimentation, and cross-functional adoption of effective approaches.
- Solve complex business problems through accurate, timely analysis, statistical modeling, and actionable insights that drive measurable improvements.
- Strengthen data fluency across the organization and position analytics as a strategic partner rather than a reporting function.
- Maintain strong awareness of data governance, data quality, and data strategy principles while ensuring analytical outputs are reliable and decision-ready.
- 8+ years of professional experience, ideally in data analytics within a high-growth consumer technology, ecommerce, or retail environment.
- 5+ years of management experience, including experience leading and developing experienced analysts or data scientists.
- Deep ecommerce, retail, or supply chain analytics expertise, with strong knowledge of KPIs covering inventory, order economics, pricing, unit economics, in-stock rates, and fulfillment efficiency.
- Demonstrated ability to balance people leadership with hands-on individual-contributor analytical work.
- Proven experience partnering with VP-level and executive stakeholders and influencing business priorities through data-driven recommendations.
- Extensive experience with data analytics, big data technologies, statistical modeling, data governance, data quality management, and data strategy.
- Genuine experience using AI to accelerate analytical and business outcomes, with curiosity about emerging AI-native analytics and self-service technologies.
- Strong strategic thinking, business judgment, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to challenge assumptions constructively.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong ownership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality, decision-ready work in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail combined with the ability to connect individual analyses to broader business strategy.
- Competitive compensation with opportunities for career advancement.
- Company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- Retirement savings plan with company matching.
- Flexible spending accounts.
- Generous paid parental leave and paid time off.
- Paid company-wide winter break at the end of the year.
- Remote-first work environment.
- Remote work stipend to support your home office.
- Benefits and perks supporting physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.
- Resources and support for parenting, childcare, and financial planning.
- Access to leading AI tools, including Claude and ChatGPT, to support everyday work.
- Opportunities for professional development and performance-based career progression.
- Opportunity to work on products and data initiatives that positively impact millions of families.
- Twice-yearly opportunities to connect with colleagues in person.
