Job Description

Position Summary:

The Human Resources Generalist supports and enhances core HR functions by maintaining accurate employee records, updating HRIS platforms and HR databases, and serving as a knowledgeable resource for HR operations, compliance support, recruitment coordination, and employee-related processes. Systems may include Primepoint, The Hub, Predictive Index, NContracts, and Employee Navigator. This position assists with the recruitment process by sourcing and identifying qualified candidates, coordinating candidate activity, supporting hiring managers, managing job postings and social media networks such as LinkedIn, Indeed, and Job Target, and maintaining accurate recruitment records. This position requires sound judgment, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.

Duties & Responsibilities:

HR operations and administrative responsibilities:

· Update personnel files and HR information systems with employee change requests.

· Monitor, triage, and maintain HR Help Desk tickets by assessing inquiries, assigning matters to the appropriate team member, tracking follow-up, and ensuring timely resolution.

· Retrieve non-confidential employee information as requested by senior management, auditors, and/or outside vendors.

· Document and track HR actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.

· Assist with administration and reporting on different systems in use through NContracts.

· Assist in auditing personnel files and pulling information for compliance and audits.

· Update and maintain all HR related information on The Hub.

· Conduct 401(k) enrollment support and maintain employee contribution changes in coordination with payroll and plan administration requirements.

HR Operations & Payroll Support

· Maintain employee personnel files and update HRIS and internal systems, including Primepoint, Predictive Index, and Employee Navigator ensuring data accuracy, timely processing, and appropriate documentation of employee changes.

· Document and track HR actions by completing required forms, reports, and logs, and support payroll-related processes by auditing timekeeping records, identifying discrepancies, coordinating corrections, and helping ensure accuracy and compliance.

· Perform bi-annual audits of employee PTO balances to ensure compliance with required time-off policies.

· Assist with internal and external audits and provide documentation as needed.

· Support the development and maintenance of the Affirmative Action Program.

· Prepare and support EEO-1 reporting and participate in annual salary surveys.

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

· Partner with managers to identify staffing needs and define position requirements.

· Develop and execute recruiting strategies to attract qualified candidates.

· Source, screen, interview, and assess candidates, providing hiring recommendations to management.

· Manage the recruitment process from requisition through candidate selection while ensuring compliance with employment practices and internal policies.

· Monitor recruiting metrics and recommend process improvements.

Qualifications

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

· Excellent organizational and time-management skills with strong attention to detail.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

· Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.

· Minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in HR operations, recruitment, payroll support, benefits administration, compliance support, or a related HR generalist function.

· Demonstrated experience with recruitment, interviewing, candidate assessment, hiring manager support, and candidate communication.

· Working knowledge of employment practices and HR compliance requirements, with the ability to apply sound judgment and escalate issues appropriately.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience using HRIS, payroll, benefits, applicant tracking, and other HR-related systems.

Ability to work collaboratively within the HR department and across all levels of the organization.
