Responsibilities
The Principal, Investor Relations supports and enhances communication between General Dynamics and the investment community by providing independent analysis, managing investor engagement logistics, and contributing to strategic Investor Relations initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine Investor Relations presentations, briefing materials, and background content in collaboration with the VP of Investor Relations
- Serve as a primary point of contact for responding to investor and analyst inquiries, coordinating closely with Accounting, Financial Planning, and Communications
- Provide ongoing analysis of stock performance, institutional ownership trends, analyst estimates, and sell-side research to inform Investor Relations strategy
- Monitor and assess competitor investor sentiment and engagement activity, identifying trends and implications for General Dynamics
- Manage Investor Relations engagement tracking systems and ensure accurate documentation of outreach activities
- Independently coordinate and schedule investor meetings, calls, conferences, and management engagements
- Manage earnings call logistics, including vendor coordination and execution oversight
- Oversee relationships with external Investor Relations service providers and vendors
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of investor targeting strategies and engagement plans
- Manage and update Investor Relations website content to ensure timely and accurate disclosure
- Monitor departmental expenditures and contribute to budget planning and forecasting
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or finance or equivalent
- Six years of relevant experience, including positions in a financial environment that resulted in an understanding of financial documents, financial models, and financial ratios
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in business or finance
Other Requirements:
- Strong understanding of financial analysis, capital markets, and Investor Relations best practices
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and communicate financial and strategic information to diverse audiences
- Proficiency with Investor Relations systems, financial databases, and analytical tools
- Solid knowledge of disclosure requirements, regulatory considerations, and governance standards
- Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage competing priorities
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to travel occasionally within CONUS
- Must be willing to work on site at Corporate Headquarters Monday through Friday and as needed in support of business requirements
Salary Note:
Base salary range: $102,900 to $128,600 per year (goodfaith estimate for this role at the time of posting). Final offer within this range will depend on jobrelated factors such as skills, experience, and market conditions.
