Sr. Director, People Enablement

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Director, People Enablement based in the United States.

The Sr. Director, People Enablement will lead global Learning and Development and the North America People Business Partner functions, shaping the capabilities and people practices needed to support an evolving, AI-enabled operating model.
This role will define and execute enterprise talent and learning strategies spanning core skills, functional capabilities, people management, leadership development, and performance management.
You will serve as a trusted advisor to the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Team, providing strategic guidance on organizational capability, leadership effectiveness, people risk, and workforce transformation.
The role will champion an AI-first approach to talent enablement, identifying innovative learning technologies and scalable approaches that strengthen employee and leadership capabilities.
You will also lead performance, succession, organizational effectiveness, and change initiatives designed to build a high-performance culture and strengthen the leadership pipeline.
Working across a global, fully remote environment, you will use people analytics and business insights to identify organizational opportunities, anticipate risks, and drive measurable improvements.
This is a highly influential leadership opportunity for a people executive who can combine strategic vision, operational discipline, data-driven decision-making, and strong executive partnership.

Accountabilities
  • Lead, develop, and inspire the global Talent Enablement team and North America People Business Partner team, establishing a culture of coaching, accountability, strategic partnership, and continuous improvement.
  • Define and advance people and learning strategies in partnership with executive leaders, subject matter experts, and HR leadership, ensuring capability priorities align with business strategy, leadership expectations, and organizational culture.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Team on organizational capability, leadership effectiveness, workforce transformation, and complex people risks.
  • Champion an AI-first approach across the Talent organization by evaluating and implementing AI-enabled learning tools, learning experience platforms, and emerging talent development methodologies where they create meaningful business value.
  • Partner with Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, People Operations, Asia-Pacific Human Resources Business Partners, and Human Resources Information Systems teams to align talent priorities with enterprise-wide people programs.
  • Manage the people enablement budget, including forecasting, resource allocation, vendor relationships, program investment, and return-on-investment measurement.
  • Direct the design and delivery of global programs that strengthen coaching capabilities, team effectiveness, leadership readiness, onboarding, compliance, career development, and organizational capability.
  • Oversee the eLearning and digital learning portfolio, including curriculum architecture, learning platform strategy, instructional approaches, analytics, and vendor management.
  • Ensure consistent, fair, and legally sound employee practices across people advisory activities and manager support.
  • Establish scalable learning governance and measurement practices, using key performance indicators and return-on-investment analysis to assess program adoption, effectiveness, accessibility, and business impact.
  • Bring people analytics and organizational health insights to senior leadership, identifying capability gaps, leadership effectiveness trends, critical talent risks, and retention opportunities and translating findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Lead enterprise performance and feedback practices that support effective goal setting, continuous coaching, development planning, and formal performance reviews throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Partner with senior leaders to establish a roadmap for a high-performance culture built around clear goals, continuous feedback, employee development, and consistent performance management.
  • Govern enterprise talent reviews and succession planning to identify high-potential talent, strengthen leadership pipelines, and improve succession readiness across the organization.
  • Coach and advise executives and senior leaders on leadership effectiveness, team dynamics, organization design, and complex organizational and people challenges.
  • Guide leaders through organizational transformation, including AI-driven workforce changes, using structured change plans, disciplined stakeholder management, and clear measures of effectiveness.
  • Monitor the effectiveness and business impact of organizational changes, identifying emerging trends, risks, and organizational hotspots before they escalate.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience is required.
  • You bring 12+ years of progressive experience spanning Human Resources Business Partnership and Talent Development or learning strategy, including at least 7 years in a leadership capacity.
  • You have demonstrated experience building and scaling a Business Partner organization while increasing its strategic impact and developing trusted advisors capable of partnering effectively with senior leaders.
  • You have successfully designed and implemented enterprise-wide succession planning or leadership pipeline frameworks within a matrixed, multi-geography organization.
  • You demonstrate strong executive presence and credibility, with the ability to advise C-suite and Vice President-level leaders with candor, confidence, and sound judgment in ambiguous or high-stakes situations.
  • You have strong data and analytics capabilities and can translate people data into insights that meaningfully influence business decisions.
  • You have proven experience leading teams across multiple time zones and building aligned, engaged, and accountable teams within a fully remote, global environment.
  • You possess excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, coaching, organizational development, and change leadership skills.
  • Experience in insurance, financial services, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), process improvement, or technology-enabled services is preferred.
  • Experience with enterprise learning technology ecosystems, including Docebo or comparable Learning Management Systems (LMS), instructional design tools, learning analytics, and Power BI, is preferred.
  • Experience developing leadership development, onboarding, compliance, process training, culture-building, or career development programs at scale is preferred.
  • Experience collaborating across Product, Engineering, Finance, Total Rewards, and Talent Acquisition functions and aligning competing priorities is preferred.
