Job Description

Make a Difference Through Wellness
Sun City Lincoln Hills is seeking an energetic, professional, and motivated Wellness Instructor to lead engaging wellness and fitness classes for our active adult community. If you enjoy inspiring others, creating positive experiences, and promoting overall well-being, we'd love to hear from you.
As a Wellness Instructor, you will plan, organize, and lead a variety of wellness programs while ensuring a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for residents. Classes may include fitness, yoga, arthritis-focused programs, wellness education, and other specialty formats.

What You'll Do
• Lead wellness and fitness classes in a safe, motivating, and engaging manner.
• Develop and update class content using industry-accepted wellness and fitness
techniques.
• Promote healthy lifestyle practices through education, movement, and wellness
programming.
• Support a variety of wellness dimensions, including physical, emotional, social,
intellectual, spiritual, and environmental wellness.
• Welcome participants, manage class attendance, and provide excellent
customer service.
• Set up, maintain, and clean class spaces and equipment.
• Read announcements and assist with program promotions as needed.
• Arrange qualified substitutes when unable to teach scheduled classes.
• Attend departmental meetings and maintain required certifications.
• Help ensure class participation goals are met.

Qualifications

Required
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current wellness, fitness, or specialty certification from a recognized
organization (or degree in a related field).
• Current First Aid, CPR/AED certification or the ability to obtain within 30 days of
employment
• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform physical activity throughout the day.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Work Environment
• Indoor fitness studios, aquatic environments, and outdoor activity spaces.
• Exposure to humid aquatic areas and pool chemicals when applicable.
• Fast-paced environment requiring multitasking, flexibility, and professionalism.
• Frequent interaction with residents, volunteers, vendors, and team members.

Benefits Overview

Employees can participate in a 401(k)-retirement plan after 30 days, with employer matching up to 4% beginning after one year. Additional benefits include a Flexible Spending Account, up to nine paid company holidays per year (based on schedule), and sick leave accrued at one hour for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 80 hours.
