Vice President, Marketing Creative & Operations

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Vice President, Marketing Creative & Operations based in United States.

This executive leadership role is an opportunity to transform a large-scale creative organization into a modern, AI-enabled content engine.
The position will lead a multidisciplinary team of 50+ professionals, shaping enterprise-wide creative strategy, operations, and content systems.
The successful candidate will drive scalable marketing solutions that connect creative performance with measurable business outcomes.
This leader will modernize workflows, integrate emerging technologies, and build innovative approaches to brand and content delivery.
Working closely with senior marketing and business stakeholders, the role will influence growth strategies across a broad partner ecosystem.
The position requires a visionary operator who can balance creativity, operational excellence, and data-driven performance.

Accountabilities:

The Vice President, Marketing Creative & Operations will define the strategic vision, operating model, and execution framework for a high-performing creative organization. This role combines brand leadership, content innovation, operational management, and team development to create scalable marketing capabilities that drive measurable growth.

  • Develop and execute a multi-year creative and operations strategy aligned with organizational growth goals and partner success metrics.
  • Transform the creative function into an AI-enabled Content House with scalable systems, governance, workflows, and measurable performance standards.
  • Build modular content strategies that support personalization across a large portfolio of partners while improving speed, efficiency, and consistency.
  • Establish enterprise-wide brand, messaging, editorial, and creative standards across multiple channels and formats.
  • Lead the integration of AI-powered tools into creative production, including copy, design, video, and workflow optimization.
  • Oversee content strategy across the full customer journey, ensuring creative output supports acquisition, engagement, and conversion goals.
  • Manage creative operations including intake processes, prioritization, resource planning, project delivery, and capacity management.
  • Develop performance dashboards and operational metrics tracking throughput, quality, cycle time, and business impact.
  • Partner with marketing, SEO, paid media, lifecycle, and field teams to ensure content is optimized for performance.
  • Lead a team of creative professionals, operations leaders, project managers, designers, writers, and content strategists while building a strong leadership pipeline.
  • Define and manage external vendor partnerships, including agencies, freelancers, and production partners.
  • Provide executive-level reporting on creative performance, investments, team effectiveness, and strategic initiatives.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a strategic marketing executive with deep experience leading creative organizations, building scalable content operations, and connecting brand initiatives to measurable business results.

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in integrated marketing, brand strategy, creative leadership, or related disciplines.
  • 7+ years of executive-level leadership experience managing creative strategy and operations at scale.
  • Proven success leading multidisciplinary teams of 40–60+ professionals across creative, content, and operational functions.
  • Demonstrated experience transforming organizations through operating model redesign, workflow modernization, and technology adoption.
  • Strong expertise in brand strategy, messaging frameworks, integrated content development, and multi-channel marketing.
  • Experience building scalable content systems and platforms that support personalization and efficiency.
  • Ability to connect creative investments with measurable outcomes such as acquisition growth, customer engagement, and cost optimization.
  • Experience managing large budgets and making data-driven resource allocation decisions.
  • Proficiency with enterprise project management platforms such as Workfront or similar solutions.
  • Experience operating in performance-driven marketing environments where creative directly impacts business results.
  • Strong executive communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead through ambiguity, drive organizational change, and inspire high-performing teams.
  • Preferred experience in education technology, higher education, multi-brand organizations, or partner-based business models.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered creative tools, content management platforms, digital asset management systems, and emerging marketing technologies.
