Job Description

  • POSITION SUMMARY

    • This position with the incumbent serving as Full time clinic Family Nurse Practitioner, Provide oversight to Clinic patients assigned to care in collaboration with physician supervisor.

      ANALYTICAL SKILLS

      • Ability to evaluate a situation and provide the necessary duties and expertise.
      • Ability to delegate duties and responsibilities in order to provide quality care for the patient, while managing assigned personnel as efficiently as possible.
      • Ability to communicate well within the department and with the other departments.
  • POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
    • Minimum Education
      • Have successfully completed and graduated from an accredited Registered Nurse program and have completed all clinical requirements.

    • Minimum Experience
      • Minimum of 5 years nursing experience with at least 1 years NP experience.

    • Required Registration/License/Certification
      • BLS certification required,
      • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alabama.
      • Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Alabama.

    • Preferred Education
      • N/A

    • Preferred Experience
      • N/A

    • Preferred Registration/License/Certification
      • N/A

    • Other Requirements
      • Ability to work both cooperatively and independently, to work efficiently under stress, to utilize sound professional judgement in establishing priorities and intervening in urgent and emergent patient care situations

      • Ability to promote a positive public image of the Clinic and Hospital by communicating in a polite, tactful, and professional manner with patients, families, visitors, and co-workers

      • Required to work in areas other than those assigned.
