About the role
The shipping picking lead oversees the picking department to ensure proper and accurate order picking and fulfillment by managing, problem solving, organizing and retrieving inventory.
What you'll do
- Pick, label and stage orders in shipping lanes
- Responsible for all daily outbound shipments with accuracy
- Scan and verify order details
- Record and manage all impaired or damaged merchandise items
- Follow SOPs and safety guidelines
- Safely operate all picking equipment (IE: Sit Down Forklift, Stand Up Forklift, Cherry Picker and/or Deep reach truck)
- Keep work areas clean and organized
- Manage all equipment safety compliance completion
- Train, lead and coach all equipment operators
- Report on all equipment and/or safety concerns
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Prior warehouse experience a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, fluent in English
- Excellent attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Operate equipment (IE: sit-down forklift, stand-up Forklift, Cherry Picker, Deep Reach Truck)
- Forklift certification preferred
Physical Demands:
Standing, Walking, Reaching/Bending, Endurance, Balancing/Mobility, Manual Dexterity, Exposure to varying conditions, Repetitive Motion, Lifting to 50 lbs. consistently, safety equipment, loud noises: 8-hour work shift
