UI/UX Designer II in Canada Creek, Nova Scotia at Jobgether

You will join a fast-moving product design environment focused on shaping engaging digital learning experiences used by millions of students worldwide. In this role, you will transform complex educational and behavioral challenges into intuitive, visually compelling interfaces that feel seamless and enjoyable to use. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and art to design experiences that directly impact student engagement and learning outcomes. The environment is highly collaborative, data-informed, and experimentation-driven, with a strong emphasis on rapid iteration and user validation. You will be expected to blend creativity with analytical thinking, using research insights and behavioral principles to guide design decisions. This is a remote-friendly role offering the opportunity to contribute to large-scale EdTech products with meaningful social impact.

• Design and refine intuitive user interfaces, including layouts, transitions, and interactive components that enhance usability and engagement across digital learning products.
• Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing to gather insights and translate them into actionable design improvements.
• Develop and iterate on high-fidelity prototypes to rapidly validate concepts and support evidence-based decision-making.
• Apply principles of behavioral psychology and behavioral economics to improve engagement, retention, and learning motivation.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Artists to ensure cohesive execution of user experience and visual design.
• Contribute to design reviews, providing and receiving feedback with a growth-oriented and collaborative mindset.

• Proven experience in UX/UI, interaction design, and visual design within digital products, gaming, or EdTech environments.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design thinking and the ability to solve complex UX challenges.
• Experience conducting user research and synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data into design decisions.
• Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma or equivalent platforms.
• Solid understanding of behavioral design principles and their influence on user engagement.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with openness to feedback and iterative improvement.
• Bonus: Familiarity with integrating AI tools into design workflows for research, prototyping, or content generation.
