This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Geospatial Project Manager based in United States.
This role offers the opportunity to lead high-impact geospatial initiatives supporting the aviation industry and airport operations. You will manage projects spanning GIS, BIM, UAS, mobile mapping, aeronautical data, asset management, and related geospatial technologies. Working closely with technical teams, clients, and industry partners, you will help deliver innovative solutions that improve decision-making and operational outcomes. The position combines project leadership, client relationship management, business development, and technical expertise. You will also contribute to the growth of aviation geospatial services and strengthen relationships across the industry. Success will require a collaborative, commercially minded approach and the ability to manage complex priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Collaborate with aviation geospatial leadership and technical teams to achieve practice and project objectives.
- Support business growth by developing and maintaining pipelines of new and existing airport geospatial opportunities and contracts.
- Build strategic partnerships with aviation industry consultants and contribute to winning and delivering projects.
- Develop thought leadership through industry articles, presentations, conferences, and other professional contributions.
- Lead project delivery activities to ensure quality, client satisfaction, financial performance, team engagement, and successful outcomes.
- Monitor and forecast key performance metrics, including backlog, profit and loss, sales, net revenue, utilization, professional development, and non-billable expenses.
- Lead or support shortlist presentations and participate in client contract negotiations.
- Conduct quality reviews of project documentation, from work plans through final deliverables.
- Advise clients on innovative applications of geospatial technologies and data to improve business and operational decisions.
- Develop a strong understanding of client organizations and identify how geospatial services can support their strategic objectives.
Requirements:
- Associate degree in a related field with 10+ years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree in a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of aviation geospatial programs, particularly Airports GIS, obstruction surveys, facility asset management, Part 139 requirements, aeronautical data, EIM, GIS, BIM, UAS, or mobile mapping systems.
- Thorough knowledge of FAA ADIP requirements and associated Advisory Circulars is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of surveying principles and experience with BIM, CAD, and GIS software.
- Knowledge of National CAD and GIS Standards.
- AAAE, PMP, CP, GISP, PLS, or FAA IDLE certifications are highly desirable but not required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changes in the aviation industry and respond effectively to evolving organizational initiatives.
- Willingness to travel to client sites, industry conferences, and other offices as needed.
- Must already have authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
