About This Position
Job Summary
The role of the Commercial Lending Coordinator is to independently support both internal and external clients within Commercial Banking. The position supports internal clients (primarily Loan Officers and Loan Administration) by managing portions of account relationships pertaining to loan documentation, maintenance, monitoring and addressing loan exceptions, past due/matured loans, credit files, overdraft reports, customer tracking spreadsheets and covenant monitoring. The external clients are supported by providing customer support for loan and deposit related products, including loan document review, loan closings, account research, information requests, title and appraisal ordering, wire transfers, etc. Other duties may include support for Advisory Board activities and Board of Directors report generation.
Job Responsibilities
- Compile new and renewal loan packages from the Lender by ordering title work, flood letter, appraisal, request proof of insurance, UCC searches, corporate good standing and corporate paperwork, CIP verification, run credit reports, complete checklist and give to Loan Documentation Department as a complete package.
- After loan has been closed, verify that all documents have been executed properly, notarize any necessary documents, send out
- Loan proceeds checks, and give to Loan Administration for booking in a timely manner.
- Assist with lender post-closing disbursements as needed.
- Promote and maintain positive relations with all contacts, customers and potential customers.
- Set up, organize, administer, and maintain credit files and credit file exceptions.
- Image loan documents and update exceptions.
- Attend loan closings if asked by the Lender.
- Attend employee meetings and functions as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Research data on Fi-Serv and Image systems.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills
- Advanced degree in business, finance or similar field a plus
- A minimum of 3 years of commercial loan or relevant experience.
- Outstanding interpersonal communication skills with a customer service orientation
- Strong organizational skills and a detail orientation
- Advanced computer skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- General understanding of commercial lending including terminology including title, insurance and appraisal issues.
Work Environment
- General office conditions
- Must be able to work effectively at a computer for extended periods of time
- Regular attendance is necessary
