<undefined role="navigation">Park City Fire Service District is seeking a qualified and motivated <strong id="isPasted">Wildland Engine Boss</strong> to lead our wildland engine operations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES<br><p id="isPasted">This job entails wildfire response as a strike team or single resource, mitigation work such as prescribed burning, pile burning, and risk assessments. In between wildfire events, the crew members engage in mitigation services such as defensible space clearing, risk assessments, and other wildfire prevention services. In the off season, this role continues working as a non-fire Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).</p><ul><li>Maintains firefighting equipment, apparatus and facilities. Performs minor repairs to district equipment.</li><li>Performs general maintenance work in the upkeep of fire facilities and equipment; cleans and washes walls and floors; cares for grounds around station; makes minor repairs; washes, hangs and dries hose; washes, cleans, polishes, maintains and tests apparatus and equipment.</li><li>Presents programs to the community on safety, medical, and fire prevention topics.</li><li>Performs salvage operations such as throwing salvage covers, water evacuation and debris removal.</li><li>Participates in physical fitness activities in order to maintain the capacity for sustained physical exertion and successful completion of the annual task performance test.&nbsp;</li><li>Performs other job related duties as required by the PCFSD administration.</li></ul>
<ul type="disc" style="margin-bottom: 3pt;" id="isPasted"><li>High school diploma or GED equivalent.</li><li>Must be (21) twenty-one years of age or older.</li><li>Utah EMT Advanced Certification</li><li>Must be a citizen of the United States of America at the time of application, or provide proof of appropriate work permit.</li><li>Must be able to read and write the English language. &nbsp;</li><li>Must have the ability to follow verbal and written instructions, and the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.</li></ul>

When not on deployment, this role will work Dayshift (4/10) schedule April – November. In the off season, this role will work a non-fire EMT (12-hour) schedule December - March. When on active deployments, additional pay and/or overtime will be calculated and paid accordingly.</span><br><br><strong>Tattoo Policy</strong> - Tattoos, branding, and body piercings shall not be visible while in uniform (short-sleeved shirt) and while working in the public. &nbsp;Tattoos, Branding, and Body Piercings on the hands, forearms, neck, and face are not allowed. Compliance may not be achieved by the use of bandaging, tattoo sleeves or long-sleeve shirt to cover a tattoo.
