About This Position
The School Behavioral Health Clinician Manager will be responsible for supervising other School Behavioral Health Clinicians with providing services related to the delivery of mental health care to assigned clients at the designated school locations and will provide guidance and consultation to the School Behavioral Health Clinicians.
School Behavioral Health Clinician Manager carries case load of children, ages 3-20 depending on the assigned school(s). However they are responsible for ensuring policies and procedures are followed by the School Clinicians and provide clinical review of patient charts.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Monitors and evaluates the quality and appropriateness of behavioral health services provided. Ensures patient evaluation and therapy is appropriate, patient specific and documented in a timely, accurate and complete manner.
2. Provides leadership and is responsible for the delivery of safe, quality, patient care for the behavioral health department. Ensures department's standard of practice, policies and procedures are met and in compliance working with other department heads.
3. Support and maintain the internship program with local universities.
4. Performs individual and group therapy sessions, crisis intervention and other education and counseling in accordance with patients' individual treatment plans.
5. Prepares and generates results letters and/or Corrective Action Plans and report results quarterly when necessary.
6. Document and communicate findings and associated corrective actions appropriately.
7. Develop and implement a peer review program within the department.
8. Participates and assists in the implementation of the peer review program.
9. Assist the staff in proactively responding to patient needs to improve patient outcomes and positively impact overall patient experience.
10. Communicates and collaborates with providers and DCSNO representatives as necessary.
11. Assures necessary treatment records are collected and organized for clinical review to occur.
12. Assists the Director of Behavioral health provide on-going supervision to assigned staff and ensures that treatment is clinically appropriate and effective for the patient’s population e.g. reviewing therapeutic sessions and treatment plans and recommending treatment modalities that are effective.
13. Assists the Director in the day to day management of the School Behavioral Health Clinicians provides constructive feedback to clinicians regarding patient care and productivity levels.

16. Responsible for the completion of monthly reports and coordination and facilitation of staff meetings, attends providers meetings, and other community meetings to stay abreast of current information for DCSNO services.

18. Manage on-call calendar for Behavioral health dept.
19. Maintains policies and procedures with assigned staff including annual reviews, updates, and approvals.
20. Attends and participates in audits when necessary.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is normally performed in a clinic, office environment, school or mobile unit with varying temperatures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Master's degree in social work, counseling psychology or related field required.
• License required (LCSW, LPC, or Licensed Clinical Psychologist)
• Minimum of 5-7 years experience working with children and families required.
• Able to use computer based information system and electronic medical record.
• Awareness of legal and ethical issues related to clinical work and case management.
• Proven ability to effectively engage clients, successfully advocate for clients and to work well with professionals.
• Strong communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and vehicle for transportation required.
• Demonstrates caring and concern for community.
• Exhibits professional behavior and possesses good organizational and communication skills.
• Knowledgeable about behavioral health issues within a school setting.
• Able to work with various age groups.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Bilingual (English/Spanish) desirable
· 7-9 years work experience in behavioral health/mental health services with adults, children, adolescents or youth.
· 1-3 years managerial experience.
