Certified Medical Assistant at MIDTOWN OBGYN – Columbus, Georgia

We are currently looking for an experienced and personable individual to fill the position of Medical Assistant in our fast-paced clinic. This role is a significant part of our staff and is an important first point of contact for patients. The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting the physician, taking medical histories and providing a variety of primary care services including performing routine office procedures, administering vaccinations, ordering lab tests and preparing reports to be reviewed by the attending physician.

Responsibilities:

• Manage patient flow in the office.
• Documentation.
• Prepare examination/treatment rooms for patients.
• Assist with medical procedures and treatments.
• Collaborate with other health care practitioners to ensure proper care of patients.
• Understand legislation and industry-specific standards related to medical practice.
• Perform clerical tasks in collaboration with others.
• Gather patient information.
