The Campus Store Associate is a part-time position that supports the daily operations of the Campus Store. Duties include customer service, performing sales transactions on the stores computerized point-of- sale system, processing online orders, and stocking and pricing merchandise.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Greets visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
• Operates a point-of-sale system.
• Replenishes merchandise on display shelves and racks. Must be able to lift and bend to put product on shelves and on racks.
• Assists with receiving and unpacking of merchandise. Must be able to lift cartons and pull products form cartons.
• Assists with the display of merchandise.
• Provides general upkeep of the store keeping display shelves and racks neat and organized.
• Able to work with staff, students and families from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
• Fill web orders and prepares them for pick up or shipping.
• Performs other projects and responsibilities that may be added at the Schools discretion as needed.
• Inventory control of products.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Capable of using computer equipment, systems, and software used in the management of the Store operations, including Word and Excel.
• Communicate effectively with guests and staff.
• Ability to work independently and as a team player.
• Detail-oriented and organized approach to work.
• Easily shift tasks as needed.
• Assist with accurate inventory counts and fiscal year-end inventory.
• While performing the essential functions of this position, the Campus Store Associate is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, communicate, reach, and manipulate objects, tools or controls. The position requires mobility and physical exertion. Duties involve moving materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Manual dexterity and coordination are required while operating equipment such as computer keyboard, mouse, calculator, and similar machines.
• Year-round position includes additional hours during the beginning and end of the semester as well as summer hours.
• Excellent record of attendance and reliability.

OTHER INFORMATION

• Work primarily in a traditional climate-controlled office environment.
