About the Role:

The Melter/Ladleman plays a critical role in the metal production process by being part of the team that is responsible for the melting and handling of molten metal to ensure quality and safety standards are met. Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a foundry or metal melting environment.
• Basic understanding of furnace operations and metal properties.
• Ability to work in physically demanding conditions including heat and heavy lifting.
• Knowledge of workplace safety standards and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in industrial furnace operation or metallurgy.
• Experience with automated melting and ladling equipment.
• Familiarity with quality control processes in metal production.
• Training in first aid and emergency response procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor melting furnaces to melt raw materials according to specified procedures and quality standards.
• Manage the transfer of molten metal from furnaces into ladles, ensuring proper handling to prevent spills and maintain temperature control.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of melting equipment to ensure operational efficiency and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with quality control teams to verify metal composition and adjust melting parameters as needed.
