The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing the end-to-end accounts payable process to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant vendor payments. This role supports financial operations by processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to resolve discrepancies and maintain strong financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, process, and validate vendor invoices in accordance with company policies and approval workflows.
• Ensure timely and accurate payment processing based on agreed terms and schedules.
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies or missing documentation.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve invoice or approval issues.
• Maintain accurate accounts payable records and supporting documentation.
• Support month-end close activities related to accounts payable.
• Assist with audits and internal reviews by providing required documentation and explanations.
• Follow established controls, procedures, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in accounts payable, invoice processing, or accounting support roles (minimum 6 months preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage high volumes of transactions in a structured environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Basic to intermediate Excel skills.
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
• Availability to work assigned schedules based on operational needs.

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Experience supporting U.S. or international vendors.
• Familiarity with ERP or accounting systems.
• Experience working in shared services or BPO environments.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles related to payables.
