Accounts Payable Specialist at Pure Safety Group – Pasadena, Texas

JOB TITLE: ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST

DEPARTMENT: FINANCE

REPORTS TO: ACCOUNTING OPERATIONS MANAGER

We are seeking a detailed-oriented, highly organized, proactive Accounts Payable Specialist to join our fast-paced and growing team. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key Responsibilities:

• Process high-volume invoices with accuracy and timeliness
• Perform 3-way PO matching
• Review and verify invoice approvals, supporting documents and G/L coding
• Manage vendor relationships and respond professionally and promptly
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Assist and support with month-end close, AR and other finance processes as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven experience in accounts payable (4-5 years), accounts receivable experience a plus
• Strong understanding of PO 3-way matching and Po based invoices
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and manage priorities
• Strong problem solving skills
• Proficiency in accounting systems (ERP experience such as Epicor is a plus)
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication and vendor management skills
  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• This position requires sitting for extended amounts of time. Some lifting, bending, reaching and squatting throughout the shift while filing, sorting and moving product. Must be able to lift, pull, push and move up to 40 pounds.
