Focus: Architectural Optimization, Large-Scale Migration, & Governance Frameworks

You are the strategic architect of cloud efficiency. As a Senior Lead, you don't just execute migrations; you design the optimization frameworks that prevent waste before it happens. You serve as the high-level bridge between executive cost strategy and engineering reality, providing the technical leadership necessary to move workloads from Azure/AWS to IBM Cloud Bare Metal without inheriting technical debt. You are a "skeptic by design," constantly auditing the environment to ensure performance and cost are perfectly balanced.

Key Responsibilities

• Migration Architecture & Risk Management: Lead complex, multi-cloud migrations. Beyond execution, you perform deep-dive architectural assessments to ensure destination instances are optimized for performance-to-cost ratios. You reject "lift and shift" in favor of "right-size and shift."
• Enterprise-Scale Automation: Architect and own the automated "Waste Elimination" framework. You don't just clear backlogs; you develop the scripts and serverless functions that autonomously identify and remediate orphaned resources across the global footprint.
• High-Stakes Stakeholder Leadership: Act as the primary technical liaison for App Owners and Business Units. You negotiate maintenance windows and provide the technical "why" behind optimization mandates, influencing senior leadership on cost-benefit trade-offs.
• Advanced Spend Forensics: Conduct Root-Cause Analysis (RCA) on complex spend anomalies. You distinguish between strategic scaling and technical leakage, presenting findings that drive immediate architectural changes.
• Waste Elimination & Automation: Own the "Cleanup" backlog. Use analytical thinking to identify patterns in orphaned resources and write scripts to automate their removal across the enterprise.
• Financial Governance & Lifecycle Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of RIs and Savings Plans. You enforce 100% tagging compliance through automated guardrails, ensuring every dollar spent is mapped to a specific business outcome.

Professional & Analytical Requirements

• Strategic Communication: Ability to distill complex migration blockers and cloud financial data into actionable executive summaries for VPs and Directors.
• Systems Thinking: An inherent ability to view the cloud not as a set of features, but as a financial ecosystem. You proactively identify how a change in one tier (e.g., storage) impacts the entire cost structure.

Required Experience & Technical Skills

Category	Senior-Level Requirement
Cloud Platforms	7+ years of hands-on experience in Azure & AWS (Professional/Expert certs preferred); deep expertise in IBM Cloud / Classic Bare Metal and Power Systems.
Advanced Networking	Expert-level understanding of VMware NSX, PfSense, and Fortinet. Must be able to design data-flow logic to maintain security posture during cross-cloud moves.
Migration Orchestration	Mastery of VMware HCX, Veeam, Native Azure / AWS Migration factory, and CloudEndure. Experience managing large-scale cutovers involving hundreds of interdependent VMs.
AI & Automation	Advanced use of AI/LLMs for complex script refactoring, log-pattern recognition, and automating FinOps governance workflows.
Data Durability	Deep knowledge of Veeam, Zerto, and site recovery to ensure that cost-optimization never compromises RTO/RPO requirements.
