AP Specialist II at INFICON – East Syracuse, New York

The AP Specialist II supports the organizations accounts payable function by accurately processing invoices and expenses within the ERP system, ensuring proper coding, timely payments, and compliance with company policies. This role is responsible for identifying and resolving discrepancies through collaboration with internal stakeholders and external vendors, reconciling vendor accounts, and responding to inquiries to maintain accurate records. The position also includes processing payment runs (checks, ACH, and wires), administering employee expense reimbursements, auditing corporate credit card transactions, and supporting month-end and year-end close activities. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, organizational and problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a solid understanding of basic accounting principles.

• Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 36 years of accounts payable experience, or a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 14 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• SAP experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• High level of efficiency, accuracy and responsibility
• Organization and time management skills
• Motivation and strong desire to take on new challenges

For New York, the expected salary range for this position is between $53,000 and $69,000 per year paid at an hourly rate. In addition, INFICON employees are eligible for a profit-sharing bonus with a target of 10%. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law
