Summary:
Job Title: Associate Product Manager
Reports to: Senior Product Manager
Work Type: Full Time, Permanent
Salary Range: CA$55,000.00 - CA$78,000.00
Location: Aurora, Ontario
We are seeking a proactive Associate Product Manager to support the Product Management team in ensuring Sinclair products remain competitive and that the company maintains its position as a global industry leader. Working under the guidance of the Senior Product Manager, the Associate Product Manager will support Sinclair's products throughout their full lifecycle — from design and development, through product launch and market growth, to end-of-life. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical aptitude and developing business acumen, with foundational skills in market research and business case development.
What You’ll Do:
- Study market trends and analyze the target market environment through direct market research, industry benchmarking, and competitive analysis.
- Support the full product lifecycle from concept to end-of-life by working with R&D/Engineering, Sourcing, Quality, Planning, Manufacturing, Sales, and other cross-functional teams.
- Analyze product features, pricing, profitability, key performance indicators (KPIs), and overall competitiveness of Sinclair products and solutions in the marketplace.
- Work closely with the Sales team to identify new product opportunities, understand customer requirements, and support business cases, proposals, quotation requests, and customer engagement.
- Prepare/verify annual price lists for standard products and provide pricing/specification support to CSRs and the Sales team.
- Prepare, maintain, and optimize product datasheets, product pages, product navigation, pattern files, and other product-related content.
- Align product requirements and maintain product roadmaps under the direction of the Senior Product Manager.
- Support the development and execution of marketing communication, promotional strategies, product training, and presentations for sales teams and customers.
- Maintain product and pricing information in ERP system, and help ensure legal, regulatory, and branding requirements are met.
- Participate in major industry events to stay current on market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape.
- Use AI-enabled tools where appropriate to support self-directed learning, product research, competitive analysis, documentation, and day-to-day productivity, while maintaining personal accountability for accuracy, judgment, confidentiality, and final work output.
- Provide guidance and support to peers and junior team members and perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Physics, or a related technical field; Electrical, RF, or telecommunications background is preferred.
- 1–3 years of combined experience in product management, product marketing, technical sales, or applications engineering, ideally with exposure to RF, wireless, or telecommunications products.
- Working knowledge of antennas, RF filters, signal conditioning products, public safety, transportation, utilities, or mission-critical communications is an asset.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate market, customer, pricing, and competitive insights into actionable product decisions.
- Proven ability to write clear technical specifications, requirements documents, product collateral, and business communications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with CRM and ERP systems such as Business Central, Salesforce, SAP, or NetSuite is an asset.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and commercial audiences.
- Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Curiosity and responsible use of modern tools, including AI-enabled tools, to improve productivity and self-learning while validating results, protecting confidential information, and taking ownership of final work.
- Available for occasional domestic and international travel, approximately 5%, and legally entitled to work in Canada.
