Job Description

Job Summary

The Embroidery Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining computerized embroidery machines to produce high-quality embroidered designs on garments and other textile products. The role requires attention to detail, technical skill, and the ability to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate single-head or multi-head computerized embroidery machines
  • Load and position garments, fabrics, and hoops correctly
  • Set up embroidery designs, threads, needles, and backing materials
  • Monitor machines during operation to ensure proper stitching and quality
  • Detect and correct errors such as thread breaks, misalignment, or design flaws
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning
  • Change thread colors and needles as required by design specifications
  • Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and defects
  • Follow production schedules and meet output targets
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Adhere to workplace safety and quality standards
  • Primary responsibilities include performing embroidery work with precision and attention to detail.
  • Secondary responsibilities will involve supporting additional garment-related operations in times of need, including but not limited to order picking, pressing Direct-to-Film (DTF) transfers, and conducting quality control to ensure all products meet company standards.
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience operating embroidery machines (e.g., Tajima, Barudan, Brother)
  • Basic knowledge of embroidery techniques, fabrics, and threads
  • Ability to read and follow work orders and design instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • Good hand-eye coordination

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with embroidery software (e.g., Wilcom, Hatch)
  • Knowledge of digitizing and design setup
  • Prior experience in garment or textile manufacturing

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Factory or production floor environment
  • Standing for extended periods
  • Handling fabrics, garments, and embroidery frames
  • Exposure to noise from machinery
