JOB TITLE: PROPERTY ACCOUNTANT
LOCATION: Parkchester
DEPARTMENT/DIVISION: Accounts Payable
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The Property Accountant reports directly to the Controller and is responsible for the coding of invoices into the accounting system, generating and issuing accounts payable checks, and performing other duties relative to the upkeep of the general ledger. Duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:

QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to speak and write clearly
- Excellent organization, time management, and follow-up skills
- Acute attention to detail
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and take initiative
- Demonstrated ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Business or related field
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Knowledge of accounting standards (US GAAP)
- Experience with Yardi Property Management Software a plus
- Real estate industry experience a plus
Salary commensurate with experience
