Position Overview

As Gift Card Sales Manager, you will lead the growth of a high-impact revenue stream by developing and executing innovative, data-driven gift card strategies. Reporting to the Director of Sales, this role blends creativity, analytics, and commercial acumen to drive sales, enhance brand engagement, and maximize profitability across multiple properties. You will oversee all aspects of the gift card program, from pricing, promotions, and partnerships to sales channels and performance tracking, while collaborating to deliver compelling guest experiences and unlock new revenue opportunities.

Salary: $60k- $65k per year with the opportunity to earn in excess of $120k

Locations: Calgary or Canmore, AB

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Generation & Strategy

Standard: Develop and execute strategies to maximize gift card sales revenue and profitability

  • Meet defined sales goals and contribute to overall revenue strategy
  • Develop and implement gift card pricing, packaging, and promotional strategies
  • Create and execute seasonal campaigns (holidays, spa packages, corporate incentives, special events)
  • Identify new revenue opportunities including corporate partnerships and bulk sales
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Department to drive targeted campaigns and promotions
  • Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and guest behavior to refine strategies
  • Track and report on sales performance, revenue targets, and ROI on campaigns

Sales Channels & Product Management

Standard: Ensure all gift card products and sales channels are optimized, accurate, and aligned with brand standards

  • Manage all gift card sales channels including online platforms, in-property sales, and third-party partnerships
  • Ensure all platforms reflect accurate pricing, availability, and promotional messaging
  • Oversee inventory of physical and digital gift cards and ensure availability across properties
  • Maintain and enhance gift card product offerings to remain competitive and appealing
  • Ensure brand consistency across all gift card designs, packaging, and messaging
  • Work with internal systems (e.g., POS, WebRezPro, Mews) to ensure proper setup and functionality
  • Coordinate with accountinh to ensure accurate tracking, reconciliation, and reporting of gift card sales

Guest Experience & Operational Support

Standard: Ensure a seamless and positive guest experience from purchase through redemption

  • Monitor guest feedback related to gift card purchases and redemption experiences
  • Address and resolve guest concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Collaborate with Guest Services, Spa, and Operations teams to ensure smooth redemption processes
  • Provide guidance and training to front-line staff on gift card promotions and usage
  • Ensure clear communication of terms, conditions, and redemption procedures
  • Support operational teams during high-volume promotional periods
  • Participate in meetings and provide updates on performance, challenges, and opportunities

Requirements

  • Familiarity with gift card platforms and point-of-sale systems
  • E-commerce / DTC experience
  • Data driven mindset, with understanding of pricing strategies, budgeting, cost controls and reporting
  • Experience in hotel, spa, retail, or hospitality sales essential
  • Knowledge of CRM / automation / AI workflows is a bonus
